
Former "Amkar" team captain Aleksey Popov responded to young striker Kirill Glebov's statements about the ban on meat consumption for players at CSKA. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to Popov, animal fats are necessary for adult bodies, and Glebov's comments have been misunderstood. He suggested that the young player may not have correctly understood the words of head coach Fabio Chelestini, Popov said in an interview with Metaratings.
Additionally, CSKA's communications director Kirill Breydo provided an explanation regarding the reasons for the ban in response to the striker's comments. The CSKA team will start the new season of the Russian Premier League away against "Orenburg" on July 21, Monday, under the leadership of Swiss coach Fabio Chelestini.
