Veteran “Dinamo” team player Aleksandr Tochilin's exclusive interview regarding the start of the new season of the Russian Premier League and the match between “Dinamo” and “Baltika” has been published. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
In the match, Tochilin emphasized that there will be difficulties in the new season. According to him, the first round will be challenging for each team, as there is no clear information about the level of preparation for the season.
Additionally, in the initial games, players will have strong emotions, which will make the game even more difficult. If the “Dinamo” team can quickly overcome pressure and nervousness, their games will become easier.
Especially for opponents like “Baltika,” scoring the first goal is considered very important. Although “Dinamo” is the main favorite of the match, the guests will be highly motivated, making an easy victory difficult.
Tochilin also pointed out that even strong teams might lose points in the opening round. He also addressed the issue of discipline within the team, stating the necessity to meet the demands of the new head coach Valery Karpin.
Every coach has their own style, and players need to accept these demands. It is not out of the question that “Dinamo” has not been able to find enough strength to compete for the championship due to a lack of discipline in the past.
In Tochilin's opinion, considering the internal state of the team, discipline should either be tightened or softened. If players are disciplined from the start, imposing excessive restrictions is not advisable.
However, if the team becomes lax and professionalism decreases, it is necessary to strengthen discipline. While talking about new players Osipenko and Sergeyev, he stated that there should be no doubt that they are skilled players.
Most importantly, it is crucial for them to quickly adapt to the new team and help convey Karpin's demands to others. This will facilitate the coach in communicating his ideas to the team more easily.
In the recent friendly matches against “Partizan” and “Lokomotiv,” Karpin noted that he liked the team's performance, but there are issues with scoring goals. Tochilin emphasized that this situation is observed in every coach, and the main goal is to score more goals than make defensive mistakes.
The team needs to increase its scoring percentage and reduce defensive shortcomings. At the end of the interview, Tochilin expressed that there are all conditions for the “Dinamo” team to achieve good results throughout the season.
Importantly, mutual understanding and maintaining discipline between players and coaches are crucial. This is a significant factor in the team's success.
