The head coach of St. Petersburg's "Zenit" team, Sergey Semak, commented on the situation regarding the team's midfielder Markus Vendel. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
It should be noted that the Brazilian player missed the preseason training process due to arriving late at the club. According to Semak, Vendel will face punishment for his delay, and the management will issue an official statement regarding this matter.
The coach also emphasized that Vendel is exploring options to transfer to another club, but for now, he is staying with "Zenit." Markus Vendel joined the St. Petersburg team in 2020.
He is 27 years old and has played 150 matches for "Zenit" across all competitions, scoring 21 goals and providing 36 assists. Currently, Qatari club "Al-Sadd" and Turkish club "Fenerbahçe" are showing interest in Vendel during this transfer window.
At the moment, the player is expected to remain with the team.
