In Monterrey, a city in northern Mexico, a unique robot dog equipped with artificial intelligence walks the streets, encouraging people to be kind to animals. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to Peopletalk, this robot named Valdog was created to draw public attention to the issue of cruelty towards animals. The project's author, federal senator Valdo Fernandes from Monterrey, spent over four thousand dollars of his own funds on the robot.
He also gave the AI dog his own name. Valdog is remotely controlled and requires a constant observer to accompany it.
The robot dog not only walks the city streets recording nearby trash but also registers other stray dogs. According to Fernandes, Valdog has a very busy schedule: it visits schools, squares, and various neighborhoods, and also takes many photos with citizens.
Experts believe that such robot dogs could be widely used in search and rescue operations after natural disasters in the future. The US government is also working on similar devices to monitor border areas with Mexico.
These technologies play an important role in improving the lives of humans and animals.
