
Telegram messenger achieved record revenue through special gifts presented on its 12th anniversary. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to Pavel Durov's information, the messenger earned 11 million dollars in just three minutes. A total of 965 thousand limited gifts were presented to users on the occasion of the celebration.
Among these gifts were Durov's sunglasses, Resistance Dog (REDO) dogs, as well as surfboards, sandcastles, and coconuts. One of the most expensive gifts, the “resistance dogs,” sold out within 15 seconds.
Their price increased from 75 dollars to 240-270 dollars within a few hours. Additionally, Telegram announced that new gifts will be presented on September 1.
In an earlier interview, Pavel Durov emphasized that the company does not sell users' personal data to third parties and announced the introduction of various monetization methods. At the same time, Telegram's revenue is expected to exceed 1 billion dollars in 2024.
This figure is the result of the messenger's rapid development and the increase in the number of users. Telegram's achievements are creating new opportunities in the field of digital communication.
