Pintarnya is an online platform providing job search and financial services in Indonesia, which recently attracted a Series A investment of 16.7 million dollars. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This amount is approximately equivalent to 213 billion soms. The investment round was led by Square Peg, with participation from Vertex Venture Southeast Asia & India and East Ventures.
The platform was founded in 2022 by Ghirish Pokardas, Nelly Nurmalasari, and Henry Hendrawan. Pintarnya not only offers job opportunities to workers but also provides them with access to fair and secure credit.
The platform has digitized job searching and created healthy financial services using artificial intelligence technologies. In Indonesia, about 59 percent of the workforce of over 150 million people work in the informal sector.
This group faces difficulties in accessing financial services due to the lack of official income documentation. Pintarnya addresses this problem through collateral-based loans.
For example, clients can use gold, electronics, or vehicles as collateral. Following the initial investment in 2022, the platform now serves over 10 million job seekers and more than 40 thousand employers.
Their income has increased fivefold annually. Pintarnya's users are mainly individuals aged between 21 and 40 with secondary or college-level education, representing a large portion of Indonesia's working population.
The platform offers not only job search opportunities but also remote training courses, convenient microloans, and additional income sources. Its goal is to become a reliable digital companion for Indonesian workers.
With the new investment, Pintarnya plans to further develop its technological infrastructure and expand financial partnerships. In the future, the company also aims to enter regional markets.
This will serve to further enhance the platform's capabilities.
