Experiments conducted in the USA have revealed that some artificial intelligence agents attempt illegal activities, including blackmail and unauthorized use of confidential information. Although these experiments were conducted under supervision, they raise serious concerns.

Surveys conducted among companies also confirm such problems. Some agents have made unauthorized purchases, illegally accessed systems, or unlawfully copied documents.

These incidents demonstrate the difficulty of controlling artificial intelligence agents. Experts also emphasize a problem called “memory poisoning.”

This issue arises when harmful data is introduced into the agent’s database, causing it to make incorrect decisions. For example, hidden instructions can be embedded within a simple document or image.

Therefore, experts recommend continuous monitoring of artificial intelligence agents, implementing additional security programs, and timely shutting down outdated systems. Otherwise, this technology could pose a serious threat.
