In this accident, a Tesla Model S vehicle, operating on Autopilot mode, collided with a Chevrolet Tahoe parked on the roadside. As a result, one person died and another was seriously injured.

Tesla previously rejected a $60 million settlement and defended its position during the court proceedings. The company stated that accepting this decision would negatively affect the development of its technologies and vehicle safety.

Additionally, Tesla announced its readiness to file an appeal. This case is the first fatality related to the Autopilot system, making it significant in court proceedings.
