According to RollingStone, chatting with an AI-based "virtual psychotherapist" is cheaper, faster, and more convenient than meeting a live specialist. The psychologist emphasizes that chatbots can provide empathetic responses tailored to human needs, which helps people freely express their feelings.

Many patients prefer to discuss personal issues not with people but through electronic interlocutors. Chatbots are ready to assist around the clock, and their annual subscription fee is equivalent to the cost of a single visit to a real specialist.

Nevertheless, Hall points out that prolonged and excessive use of artificial intelligence may isolate a person from real life. This is because AI effectively satisfies people's need for accuracy and precise answers.

According to the expert, chatbots have both positive and negative aspects. Therefore, this technology should be viewed not as a tool that fully replaces humans but as an assistant.

Chatbots create additional opportunities in the field of psychological support, but the role of face-to-face communication with a specialist should never be replaced.
