Negotiations between the US and China regarding TikTok's operations lasted for several months and have finally reached a major agreement. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, final decisions will be announced following dialogue between former US President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping. This agreement is of great importance for TikTok's activities in the US, as in recent years the app has sparked debates over national security and the protection of personal data.
Donald Trump emphasized in a statement on the Truth Social platform that the negotiations were productive. He described the agreement reached regarding the company popular among young people as a significant achievement.
According to Trump, a major trade meeting between America and China in Europe was successful, and he plans to meet with President Xi Jinping on Friday. Under the terms of the agreement, TikTok will be reorganized with the participation of American investors, strict compliance with US national security requirements will be ensured, and control over data will be strengthened.
Additionally, Oracle CEO Larry Ellison is mentioned as a key buyer. According to Li Chenggang, head of the Chinese delegation, this agreement not only defines TikTok's future but also helps reduce barriers in trade and investment between the two countries.
However, Beijing has openly stated that it will never agree to terms that contradict its national interests. TikTok and its main owner ByteDance have not yet commented on this matter.
Nevertheless, without this agreement, it would have been difficult for the company to operate in the US. Therefore, this agreement is considered highly significant not only for the company but also for millions of users.
