OpenAI introduces age verification for ChatGPT
OpenAI is strengthening age restrictions on the use of artificial intelligence. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The company is planning to introduce an identity verification process for ChatGPT users soon. This measure is aimed at preventing children from using artificial intelligence without supervision.

According to OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, minors need additional protection when using artificial intelligence. If the system cannot determine the user's age, the user will be required to upload documents.

Altman described this measure as a slight sacrifice of convenience for adults but considers it important from a safety perspective. If the user cannot verify their age, ChatGPT will redirect them to a special version under parental control.

In this mode, access to sexual content, sensitive conversations, and romantic content is restricted. OpenAI plans to initially launch the new system in certain countries.

Nevertheless, the parental control mode is planned to be made available to all users by the end of the month. This update is an important step in ensuring user safety and controlling age-appropriate content.
