Elon Musk's Neuralink company is preparing to test a new technology that allows converting thoughts in the human mind into written form. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Within the framework of this project, a special chip based on artificial intelligence will be implanted in volunteers who have speech difficulties. The chip receives electrical signals from the brain, transmits them to external devices, and these signals are converted into text.
According to experts, the implants are designed for patients who have survived a severe illness but have lost the ability to control their mouth and speech movements. Such patients can think clearly but have difficulty expressing words vocally.
This initiative by Neuralink may enable people who face the problem of being unable to speak to express their thoughts freely and clearly. This technology will serve to improve the quality of life for many people who have lost their speech ability in the future.
At the same time, the chip creates the possibility of direct communication between the human mind and a computer. This opens new opportunities not only in healthcare but also in many other fields.
The project is currently in the testing phase, with plans for wider application in the near future. Neuralink continues its work aimed at improving people's lives, taking into account scientific and technological achievements in the development of this technology.
