A man around 40 years old was arrested on suspicion of a cyberattack on airports in the United Kingdom. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

He is accused of using illegal computer programs. Currently, the individual has been released on bail.

As a result of the cyberattack, hundreds of flights were delayed at several airports in Europe, including Heathrow Airport in London. Since the passenger check-in system failed, staff operated manually using paper and pens.

Officials announced that the investigation is ongoing. The company is working to restore the systems, but flight disruptions are still continuing.

Experts emphasize that in such cyberattacks, systems are often disabled and ransom demands are made. Warnings have been issued about increasing cybersecurity issues in the aviation sector.

This situation poses a serious threat to the industry and requires strengthening security measures.
