The State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan has provided information about the procedure for bringing iPhone 17 models into the country. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the Customs Committee, special rules apply for individuals when bringing in new devices. According to these rules, a phone for personal use can be brought in without paying customs duties up to a certain value.
For example, if the phone is brought in by plane, its value up to 1000 US dollars is exempt from customs duties. When brought in by train or ship, this limit is 500 dollars.
When entering by car or on foot, the duty-free value is 300 dollars. For instance, if you are bringing an iPhone 17 Pro Max model by plane and its price is 1199 dollars, customs duties will not be charged on the first 1000 dollars.
For the remaining 199 dollars, a 30 percent customs duty, approximately 60 dollars, will be charged. In this way, phones can be brought into the country in compliance with customs regulations.
This procedure is aimed at meeting the personal needs of individuals and ensures the transparency of the customs service.
