Training of personnel for artificial intelligence has begun

At the meeting, the head of state emphasized the importance of training personnel in the field of artificial intelligence. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

As he noted, success in this field depends not only on modern infrastructure and advanced algorithms but also on specialists with deep knowledge and skills. The foundation of artificial intelligence is mathematics and computer science, and personnel training should start from the school level.

Starting from the next academic year, new topics related to artificial intelligence will be included in the computer science curriculum. For this purpose, special textbooks will be developed in cooperation with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

At the "New Uzbekistan" university, 100 trainers-teachers in artificial intelligence will be trained this year, and 1300 next year. These specialists will convey modern knowledge to computer science teachers in schools and higher education institutions.

Every year, the 100 most active and successful computer science teachers will be selected and given the opportunity to improve their qualifications in countries advanced in artificial intelligence. Also, as a logical continuation of the "One Million Uzbek Programmers" program, the "One Million Artificial Intelligence Leaders" project has been launched.

Within the framework of this project, 100,000 young people will study the basics of artificial intelligence this year, and at least 500,000 next year. According to the President, the project will also cover school students.

Every year, a national competition in artificial intelligence is held, and the young people who achieve the highest results, their teachers, and educational institutions are duly rewarded. The winners of the competition will receive laptops for 500 young people, a thousand-dollar prize for 100 teachers, and electric cars will be awarded to two educational institutions.

According to the words of the head of state Shavkat Mirziyoyev, artificial intelligence technologies are the main driving force of future development, and the nation that joins this process early will achieve success.
