Apple has started restricting accounts of Russian users

Apple has started restricting purchases and subscriptions for accounts belonging to Russian users who fall under the sanction lists of the USA and other countries. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The iPhones.ru portal reported this. The portal provided a screenshot of a notification from Apple stating that it is not possible to complete purchases made from the account.
The reason is that the account owner's information fully or partially matches the data on the lists of persons sanctioned by the US or other governments. Apple emphasizes that it is forced to take such measures in order to comply with current legislation and regulatory documents.
To unlock the block, the user must provide a photo of their passport or another government-issued identity document along with a copy showing the visible date of birth. According to iPhones.ru, such cases were recorded a few days ago and the restrictions are currently becoming widespread.
