Microsoft Bing AI widgets expansion is expected

According to international news sources, Microsoft is taking new and serious measures to draw more attention from users to its AI-powered Copilot assistant through its Bing search engine. Zamin.uz reported on this.
Especially when users are searching for competing AI systems like ChatGPT or Gemini, special interactive blocks occupying a large portion of the screen are appearing. This new widget is approximately five times larger than ordinary search results or ad links and immediately captures the user's attention through its unique design and placement.
The novelty is that users are no longer just presented with an external link; they can directly test the capabilities of the AI assistant without leaving the search page. Within this block, there is an opportunity to create images, edit text, and perform various other AI-based operations.
This method was previously applied for those searching for the Google Chrome browser. At that time, Microsoft occupied a large part of the search page to advertise its Edge browser and explained its advantages in detail.
According to observers and experts, such a comprehensive promotion method can sometimes distract users and limit their free choice. Therefore, this process is also raising concerns about violations of anti-monopoly rules in the market.
So far, no court proceedings or serious accusations have been officially announced against Microsoft, but debates among users are intensifying. The company continues to choose approaches in developing its products and increasing their competitiveness.
