The number of foreign IT companies in Uzbekistan is increasing
As of March 1, 2026, 1,242 foreign enterprises are operating in the information and communication sector of Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The National Statistics Committee emphasized the growing international participation in the local technology industry and published these latest figures. Among the enterprises operating in the country, the largest number belongs to Russian companies, totaling 457 organizations.

Next is Kazakhstan with 113 enterprises, followed by Belarus in third place with 63 firms. Additionally, the United States operates 58 companies, Turkey 51, and China 40.

Among the remaining foreign participants are companies from the United Arab Emirates, Japan, Tajikistan, South Korea, and other countries. Besides the number of companies, the total volume of information and communication services reached 14.776 trillion soms in January and February 2026.

Services for creating and developing computer programs accounted for a large part of this revenue, making up 46 percent of the total volume. Telecommunication services accounted for 31.2 percent, information services 14.3 percent, and publishing services 6.3 percent.

These indicators show the expanding foreign investments and cooperation in Uzbekistan's information and communication sector. At the same time, the development of the local industry positively impacts the stable growth of the country's economy.

It is important to develop additional measures to further enhance cooperation with foreign companies and modernize the sector.
