Microsoft plans a major overhaul of the Windows 11 Start menu

Microsoft is working on a major overhaul of the Start menu of the Windows 11 operating system. According to reports by Windows Central and information from Ixbt.com, this part of the system will be technically fully reworked. The changes are aimed at improving user convenience and enhancing system performance.
The look of the new version is expected to remain close to the current one, but customisation options will be significantly expanded. Users will now be able to manually choose the size of the Start menu — small or large — as they prefer. They will also be able to enable or completely disable elements such as the Recommendations section and the list of all apps.
At the moment, in Windows 11 the menu size is set automatically and the user cannot influence it. After the update, this choice will be entirely at the user discretion. This will help each person tailor their desktop to their style of work.
In addition, the Start menu performance will be improved. Even under heavy system load or when many programs are running simultaneously, the menu should respond faster and work without freezing. These updates are designed to increase the overall efficiency of the operating system.
