Gotion High-Tech introduces new type of sodium-ion battery

One of the major shareholders of the Volkswagen Group, Gotion High-Tech corporation, has officially unveiled its new Gnascent sodium-ion battery brand to the mass market, as reported by Zamin.uz.
The new technology is expected launch of this technology is expected to bring a breakthrough to the global energy storage systems market and initiate a new era in the field, according to international information sources.
The company’s specialists presented three types of battery models and launched their mass production lines in the cities of Tangshan and Hefei. One of the key advantages of Gnascent batteries is their ability to withstand up to twenty thousand charge cycles.
This high performance indicator ensures reliable operation of the batteries over an extended period of time. The technical capabilities of the new devices are astonishing even to industry specialists.
In particular, these batteries retain eighty-eight percent of their capacity even at forty degrees below zero. Moreover, they do not ignite even at four hundred degrees of heat.
These unique characteristics allow for safe use of the batteries under the most severe and harsh climatic conditions. Gnascent technology is protected by international patents close to a hundred, and its development utilized the most advanced scientific research.
The production process employed modern cathode materials such as layered oxides, sodium, manganese, and iron compounds. In addition, the batteries contain solid carbon anodes and special electrolyte additives, which further enhance their efficiency.
This innovation is expected to become a primary means of storing renewable energy in the future.
