Elon Musk is using clean energy to avoid using gas

Elon Musk's long-term development plans for Tesla, along with the question of whether traditional solar energy is becoming obsolete, are on many people's minds today. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The latest financial documents presented by SpaceX indicate that billionaires' views have sharply changed. For many years, the founder of Tesla has actively promoted the full electrification of the economy and the transition from harmful fuels to solar energy.
However, his newly established artificial intelligence company is currently using natural gas turbines to continuously power data centers. Notably, the entrepreneur who spent years building a clean energy empire is now turning back to exhaustible fuel sources.
His new project has already spent nearly a hundred million dollars over the past two years on large battery systems produced by Tesla, yet it has not purchased solar panels in significant quantities. While company documents mention solar energy, this technology is primarily aimed at mass consumers.
Musk's team believes that solar panels installed in communities will be the main power source for future data centers. According to SpaceX specialists, solar installations in communities have the potential to generate five times more energy than ground-based systems due to constant illumination.
At the same time, AI centers on Earth face various ecological and infrastructural challenges, while Musk is pushing forward with the idea of placing servers in communities. This would allow him to power computing devices with continuous and inexhaustible sunlight.
Such an approach fully aligns with the entrepreneur's method of solving complex problems at the level of simple and fundamental principles. However, the economic and technical aspects of this grand plan appear to be highly complicated.
The cost of energy obtained from artificial satellites is currently much higher than that of ground-based centers. Additionally, protecting delicate microchips from intense community lighting requires significant investment.
But Elon Musk is concerned that the demand for computing power in artificial intelligence will soon exceed existing Earth-based capabilities. According to estimates, the world will need enormous additional computing capacity each year, and this demand can only be met through community technologies.
