Samsung will unveil its new foldable smartphones in July next year
Samsung has released new information about its upcoming foldable smartphones, Zamin.uz reports.
The South Korean tech giant is preparing to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra models for mass market release in the near future. The unveiling of these new devices is expected to take place on July 22 next year as part of the traditional Galaxy Unpacked event.
The main focus of the event will be on the new generation of foldable devices. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra model will be a direct continuation of last year’s flagship, maintaining the concept of the highest-level technological solution available on the market.
At the same time, the company is also introducing an entirely new modification. Earlier reports referred to this device under a different name, but it has now been confirmed that it will be released under the name Galaxy Z Fold 8.
What makes this smartphone unique is that it will feature a wider and slightly shorter screen. This form factor was chosen to improve user convenience, although the new design may come at the cost of some technical capabilities.
In particular, it is reported that one of the rear cameras will be removed from this model. Despite the Ultra suffix in the device’s name, specialists emphasize that there will be no significant changes in this regard.
According to the information, the flagship will be equipped with a 5000 mAh battery and fast charging technology operating at 45 watts. Additionally, the phone will feature a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera.
However, some advanced features that users might have expected—such as powerful zoom capability or support for a special electronic stylus—will not be included in this model. It is worth noting that other major players in the market are also continuing to work on their foldable models.
Samsung has been developing its Ultra line devices for many years, and as a result, it continues to strengthen its leading position in this direction. The new models are sure to attract the attention of many technology enthusiasts thanks to their slimness and modern appearance.
