Meta to test new AI-powered smart device

Meta is working on a special AI-powered wearable device expected to be tested next year. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This new gadget will be in the form of a pendant worn around the neck, capable of recording and analyzing the user's daily interactions. According to reputable publications, this project will serve to further expand the company's technological capabilities.
The project is based on the developments of the Limitless startup, which was acquired by Meta late last year. This startup has been engaged in creating smart devices that can be clipped to clothing or worn around the neck to record conversations.
Meta representatives stated that this acquisition will allow the company to significantly accelerate the development process of AI-equipped wearable devices. It is worth noting that other similar devices released to the market previously did not become as popular among consumers as expected.
Experts attribute this to concerns regarding personal data privacy, incorrect marketing approaches, or the devices not being sufficiently useful in daily life. Nevertheless, major technological giants in the field do not intend to abandon research in this direction and continue to work on new solutions.
According to new reports, Meta plans to expand not only its smart pendants but also its line of smart glasses. Additionally, the introduction of special service types designed for work processes is envisioned.
Using these new devices, the company aims to improve the financial state of its technological division and provide users with more convenient digital assistants. These updates hold an important place in the company's future development strategy.
