Superhuman GPTZero startup to its core
Superhuman, a company considered a leader in email services and text editing, has announced the acquisition of GPTZero, a startup called GPTZero, which is one of the world's most recognized services for detecting AI-generated text using artificial intelligence. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This move indicates that the competition between human labor and AI-generated products in the digital world has reached a new level, as reported by Techcrunch.com.

The history of the GPTZero project is unique in its own way. The startup was founded three years ago by Edward Tian, a graduate of Princeton University.

Initially started as a simple thesis project, the initiative quickly grew into a major global platform. According to information provided to Business Insider, GPTZero currently has over 19 million registered users.

Financially, the startup has also achieved significant milestones. The company's annual recurring revenue amounts to $30 million.

Edward Tian and his co-founder Alex Cui have raised a total of $13.5 million in investments from major venture firms such as Uncork Capital and Footwork. It is known that the project became profitable starting in 2024.

In terms of competition and strategic goals, Superhuman already had an AI detection tool in its arsenal. However, the company's leadership decided to further expand its capabilities by acquiring a strong competitor like GPTZero.

Company representatives commented on the acquisition, saying that having two AI detectors is better than one. GPTZero primarily focuses on detecting AI-generated text in written content and protecting human authorship.

Grammarly, on the other hand, helps users edit their texts and reduce the appearance of AI-generated writing, especially for students. Now, these two approaches are being unified into a single system.

This news is also of significant importance for users in Uzbekistan and representatives of the education sector. Today, as academic papers written with the help of ChatGPT and other AI tools are increasing, the further improvement of tools like GPTZero is becoming crucial for verifying the authentic originality of content.

Although the final value of the acquisition has not yet been disclosed, this deal is being regarded as one of the most important purchases in the technology market this year.
