Google launches Google Finance app for Android

Google Corporation has launched a standalone mobile app for Google Finance aimed at Android users as part of its effort to expand its presence in the financial services sector. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The move signals the tech giant’s ambition to become a major player not only in information search but also in professional financial analysis and asset management. Users can now track real-time market data and monitor their personal investment portfolios on a single platform.
This was reported by Techcrunch.com. One of the app’s key features is the “Key Moments” section, powered by artificial intelligence.
It explains why stock prices are changing and analyzes the most important market trends. Additionally, users can follow live financial news via mobile and manage personalized watchlists tailored to their interests.
The Google Finance website has also been significantly updated and has successfully exited the testing phase. Users worldwide can now view their investment portfolios on a unified dashboard.
Existing portfolios are automatically migrated to the new system, and new ones can be created by uploading files or sharing investment details via simple text with others. AI capabilities help users analyze their portfolios in greater depth.
For example, a user can ask, “Which sectors in my portfolio are well diversified?” The AI not only answers the question but also automatically performs tasks such as generating analytical reports on market changes or providing brief summaries of asset diversification.
The launch of the Google Finance mobile app intensifies direct competition with popular financial platforms like Yahoo Finance and Robinhood. Google aims to evolve from a simple stock price display service into a comprehensive financial ecosystem.
In the coming months, the app is expected to gain a feature allowing users to listen to companies’ quarterly earnings reports live. Although currently available only for Android users, the company has promised to release an iOS version soon.
All AI features presented on the website will soon be integrated into the mobile app as well. This will make Google Finance a convenient and modern tool for Uzbek investors and finance enthusiasts to monitor global markets.
