Anthropic Introduces New and Powerful AI Model

Anthropic, one of the world's leading AI research lab, has officially unveiled its new Claude Sonnet 5 model, as reported by Zamin.uz.
Although positioned in the mid-tier of the company's product hierarchy, the model has impressed specialists with its ability to act independently and perform complex tasks autonomously—offering users access to capabilities once exclusive to the most expensive and advanced models at a much lower cost.
According to international tech publications, company representatives emphasized that Claude Sonnet 5 does not merely process text—it can plan, use web browsers and command-line tools, and complete complex tasks without human intervention.
Such features are rapidly becoming a new benchmark in the AI market. Major corporations like OpenAI and Google have also entered active competition with their updated models in this space.
The model's key advantage lies in its balance of cost and performance. According to Anthropic's official data, Claude Sonnet 5 delivers results very close to those of its flagship Opus model—despite being significantly more powerful and expensive.
For example, in software coding tests, the new model achieved high scores. Notably, in certain knowledge-based assessments, it even outperformed some of the top-tier models.
This enables developers and business professionals to significantly reduce the cost of accessing high-quality AI services.
Regarding pricing, the rates set for Claude Sonnet 5 are notably more favorable compared to competitors. Although a slight price adjustment is expected starting in April, the model will remain cheaper than the professional offerings of other companies—broadening access to advanced AI tools.
Another distinctive feature of the model is its self-checking capability. Test participants reported that, unlike earlier versions, Claude Sonnet 5 does not halt when facing complex tasks; instead, it independently reviews its results and corrects any errors made along the way.
For developers and tech enthusiasts in Uzbekistan, this advancement could make AI tools more accessible than ever. Especially for startups and small business projects, leveraging powerful yet affordable AI assistants can become a key factor in boosting productivity.
