Big companies are bringing back specialists instead of AI specialists
In recent years, many influential international companies have sought to replace their employees with artificial intelligence systems in an effort to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

However, practice shows that automation technologies often fall short when compared to human experience and the ability to make complex decisions. According to data released by CNBC, corporations that previously reduced their workforce are now beginning to rehire specialists on a broad scale.

One of the clearest examples of this trend is Ford Motor Company. The company, which attempted to fully automate quality control processes, failed to achieve the expected results and not only rehired more than 350 engineers but also promoted many of them to higher positions.

Ford’s leadership officially acknowledged that computational and analytical systems cannot match human experience in interpreting complex manufacturing data. As emphasized by Charlz Pun, Vice President of Vehicle Systems Engineering at Ford, artificial intelligence can be a powerful assistant, but its effectiveness directly depends on the quality of the data it learns from and the conditions under which it is applied.

Technology operating without human oversight is prone to unexpected errors and ambiguities, which can create serious risks in the production chain.

Similar issues have emerged in customer service and employee management. The Commonwealth Bank of Australia replaced its customer support staff with voice robots, resulting in a sharp increase in call volume to the contact center.

The system struggled to process complex customer inquiries, ultimately forcing the bank to rapidly reinstate its operator staff. Technology giant IBM has also adjusted its strategy.

While the company has partially automated certain processes, it has announced plans to hire new employees in the coming years. According to IBM representatives, tasks related to ethics, impartial situation assessment, and strategic decision-making still require human involvement.

A study conducted by the Orgvue staffing agency found that 39% of leaders had reduced staff due to the current implementation of AI, but many later realized this year later recognized that decision was a mistake.

According to data from the firm, one-half came to understand that this decision was mistaken.

According to the Robert Half recruitment firm, one-third of positions eliminated due to automation have already been restored.

Despite billions of dollars being invested in AI infrastructure today, the global market is reevaluating the role of technology. Increasingly, artificial intelligence is seen not as a replacement for workers, but as a tool to assist them.

In particular, human skills remain highly valuable in areas requiring communication, unconventional thinking, and extensive experience.
