In Tashkent region, large-scale practical exercises were conducted to address emergencies related to air transport. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Several state agencies participated in this event, including the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard, the Ministry of Health, and the "Uzbekistan Airports" company. The exercises were organized at the Ministry of Defense's paratrooper training center in the Ortachirchiq district.
The operation was conducted based on a major aviation disaster scenario. According to the scenario, communication with the control center is lost as a passenger plane approaches landing.
As a result, the plane is depicted as crashing near the airport, leading to a strong fire. During the exercise, dispatchers inform the airport emergency rescue service about the emergency situation and alert the relevant agencies.
Then, the rescue operation begins. Nearly 250 specialists and 20 special vehicles participated in total.
Rescuers and military personnel tested their practical skills in extinguishing the fire, evacuating the injured to a safe area, triaging the victims, providing first aid, and transporting them to hospitals. Additionally, appropriate actions were taken to safely unload hazardous cargo on board.
According to the "Uzbekistan Airports" company, such exercises are organized several times a year not only within the airport but also in its vicinity. These practices aim to strengthen cooperation mechanisms between agencies during emergencies and enhance the staff's ability to make quick and accurate decisions.
At the end of the exercises, each stage was analyzed, and recommendations were developed to further improve cooperation. Experts believe that the "Tashkent" airport and its related divisions can act effectively and timely in the event of a real emergency.
