President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the construction and landscaping works being carried out in Tashkent city on March 20.
Due to the favorable conditions created for investors in our country, the share of the private sector in the economy is increasing. Direct investments are being made, and promising projects are being implemented in industry, construction, trade, and services.
The "High Town City" complex built in the Yunusabad district of our capital is one of them. It is comprehensive, including a shopping and entertainment center, a business center, a hotel, and modern residential buildings. A total of 510 million dollars of foreign investment has been directed to this.
The head of state reviewed the modern types of trade and services in the shopping center. In the 4-story building, there are retail stores, including branches of famous brands. Restaurants and cafes, entertainment venues, sports fields, and cinemas are at the service of the public. There is an underground parking lot.
In short, all conditions have been created here for people to shop, relax, engage in sports, and spend their time well. The complex has the capacity to serve 5,000 people in one day. It provides jobs for 1,500 people.
Our president acknowledged the economic importance of the complex and its convenience for the population, emphasizing that support for investors and entrepreneurs will remain a strategic direction of our state policy. He gave instructions to officials on turning our national products into brands and promoting them in foreign markets.
A cozy bookstore has also been opened in the shopping center. Shavkat Mirziyoyev praised this initiative and stated that it would be appropriate to establish small bookstores at metro stations and waiting areas.
The head of state expressed his sincere affection for the children playing in the playground. He emphasized that all today's efforts are being made for the future of our country, and for this, children need to study well and develop their intellectual and creative potential.
A 24-story, five-star hotel is also planned to be built soon. It will have 250 rooms and will be able to serve 430 people at the same time. Modern amenities will be provided in large and small conference halls, swimming pools, restaurants, and shops.
The project for modern housing to be built here was presented to our leader. According to it, 28 multi-story buildings consisting of 1,500 apartments will be constructed. The complex courtyard will be a closed and green area for cars. A kindergarten, playground, tennis court, and underground parking will be organized. The area of the complex will be fully covered with Wi-Fi, and noiseless elevators will be installed in the buildings.
Projects for the development of public transport in Tashkent city were also discussed. It is known that the Tashkent metro is planned to be extended to the tractor factory. Our president had previously instructed to review the projects presented and to introduce other alternative proposals. Accordingly, according to the new project prepared, 10 stations will be built from the Great Silk Road metro to the tractor factory. This network will cover 30 neighborhoods and 148,000 residents.
According to another project, it is planned to build multi-story houses, trade, and service buildings near the Chirchik River in the Bektemir district. As a result, urbanization in the district will accelerate, and a new center will emerge.
