Mirziyoyev introduced a new examination system in education
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a dialogue with representatives of the field on the eve of Teacher and Mentor Day. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

More than 40,000 educators from all regions participated online in the meeting. The head of state emphasized the importance of the education system and stated that the future of our people is connected with schools.

According to him, the most important stage in providing knowledge and upbringing to our children is general education schools. Official data shows that currently 6.5 million students are studying in our country.

This year, about 400,000 students graduated from school, and 720,000 children entered the first grade. Over the past eight years, nearly 500 new schools have been built, existing schools have been expanded, creating space for an additional one million students.

Significant changes have also taken place in the private education sector. Thanks to the conditions created by the state, parents now have a wider range of choices.

Currently, more than 200,000 students are studying in private schools. President Mirziyoyev announced that a number of important reforms will be implemented in the education system.

Starting from the new academic year, unified state exams will be introduced for 9th and 11th-grade students. These exams will allow directing students towards vocational training or preparing them for higher education based on their abilities and interests.

Approximately 400,000 9th-grade graduates will be admitted to technical colleges. Young people wishing to enter universities will study subjects in depth based on their selection.

Thus, the results of the final school exams will determine the future path of young people. Graduates will have the opportunity to proceed to technical colleges or universities.

The head of state emphasized that the changes in the education system will create new opportunities for the fate of young people and highly appreciated the work of educators (source: zamin.uz).
