Panenka: The "Panenka" penalty is a product of responsibility and creativity

Antonin Panenka shared his thoughts about the "panenka" style penalty kick named after him in football history. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The Czech football legend first used this style in the final of the 1976 European Championship. Panenka emphasized that this kick was not intended to belittle or mock the opponent, but rather to find the most confident way to score a goal.
This was reported by euro-football.ru. In an interview with Cadena SER radio's El Larguero program, Panenka noted that a player should think about striving for their team's victory, especially in important matches like finals, rather than humiliating the opponent.
He said that he loves football sincerely and never aimed to belittle or humiliate anyone. Additionally, Panenka added that the "panenka" style was the most appropriate and effective method for that particular situation.
He had previously commented on Braim Dias's failure to score a goal using the "panenka" style in the Africa Cup of Nations final. According to Panenka, this style requires not only creativity but also great responsibility.
