Air pollution in the city of Tashkent has once again reached a dangerous level. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
On the evening of November 16, atmospheric air monitoring stations recorded alarming indicators. According to the data, the amount of PM10 particles was 1.2 times higher than the established norm, while PM2.5 particles, considered the most hazardous to human health, increased by nearly 3.5 times.
These particles easily penetrate the respiratory tract and pose a significant health risk. According to experts, the main cause of this situation is the inversion process caused by a sharp temperature change.
During an inversion, air circulation in the atmospheric layer weakens, resulting in fine particles accumulating close to the ground. This leads to a rapid increase in pollution levels in the city.
Air quality especially deteriorates significantly in the evening and early morning. Experts emphasize that this condition may persist for several days.
Therefore, the public is urged to take precautionary measures. In particular, it is recommended to limit long-distance walking and avoid spending excessive time outdoors.
Especially children, the elderly, and those suffering from respiratory diseases need to protect their health.
