Information has been reported about the sharp deterioration in the quality of the capital's air. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the report from the "O'zgidromet" service, this situation may last for several days. Measurements taken at 8:00 PM on November 16 showed that the amount of fine particles in the air significantly exceeded the established norm.
Specifically, the PM10 level reached 373 µg/m³, which is one and a half times higher than the permitted norm. The PM2.5 concentration was 202 µg/m³, which is more than three times the allowed level.
Experts emphasize that these changes occurred due to the inversion process. As a result of a sharp temperature change, air layers lock together, causing fine particles to accumulate in the atmosphere without settling to the ground.
Officials state that this condition may continue for several days and advise citizens to take precautionary measures. In particular, it is recommended to avoid spending extended periods outdoors and to use protective masks when necessary.
"Such sharp changes in air composition are observed not only in the capital but also in the northern and central regions. Therefore, citizens are urged to pay serious attention to their health," the report says.
