Four main threats to Uzbekistan's security have been identified

The head of the State Security Service, Bahodir Qurbonov, provided information at the Security Council meeting about the work being carried out to ensure the security of border units and airports in the country. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
At the same time, he also listed the four main threats that are currently the most pressing for Uzbekistan. According to Bahodir Qurbonov, the security infrastructure is being gradually improved.
For example, 42 percent of the state borders are equipped with video surveillance devices. In addition, 1,117 kilometers of optical fiber communication lines have been laid in border areas to enhance data exchange and the efficiency of rapid communication.
Besides technical equipment in ensuring security, the head of the State Security Service also touched upon the existing real threats. According to him, the following four directions are identified as the greatest risks for Uzbekistan under the current conditions: terrorist attacks, transboundary threats originating from the state border, threats related to drug trafficking, and the risk of corruption.
Experts believe that these threats are interconnected and several important measures need to be taken to combat them. In particular, it is necessary to strengthen border security, control transport routes, implement digital monitoring, and increase transparency within internal systems.
As emphasized at the meeting, ensuring security is no longer limited to posts and checkpoints. This system is being formed as a complex mechanism that includes technologies, rapid communication, analytical approaches, and preventive measures.
