The EU special representative conveyed the greetings and best wishes of the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, and the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
During the discussions on expanding bilateral and regional cooperation within the framework of implementing the decisions adopted at the first summit of "Central Asia - European Union" held in Samarkand in April this year, various issues were addressed.
Particular attention was paid to the rapid preparation and promotion of specific projects worth a total of 12 billion euros in investment and financial-technical cooperation.
Exchanges of views took place on pressing issues on the regional agenda, and the plan for upcoming events was reviewed.
On May 13, Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Alexander Dyukov, the chairman of the management board of Russia's "Gazprom Neft" company, who was in Tashkent as part of the "Uzbekistan Oil and Gas" international forum.

Issues related to expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with Russia's leading company in the fuel and energy sector were discussed.
Opportunities for developing partnerships in the supply of oil products, the development of hard-to-reach deposits, and the digitization of the industry were considered.
