Another important step has been taken by the state to further develop the tourism infrastructure in Uzbekistan and increase the flow of domestic and foreign tourists — the amount of subsidies allocated for the construction of modular hotels has been significantly increased. This was outlined in the president's decree on "measures to sharply increase the flow of tourists and rapidly expand the scope of tourism services in 2025-2026, thereby enhancing the role and importance of tourism in the economy."
One-time subsidies for modular hotels:
Until January 1, 2027, state support will be provided to hotels consisting of at least 10 modules in the following amounts:
- For category I – 10 million soums per place;
- For category II – 7 million soums per place;
- For category III – 5 million soums per place.
It should be noted that according to the previous document, a uniform subsidy of 1 million soums per place was to be allocated for all categories until November 1, 2026. The new decree has significantly expanded these norms.
Serious attention to medical tourism
Until January 1, 2028, the state will cover part of the training costs for employees of medical tourism clusters.
By 2030, the services of these clusters will be actively promoted at international tourism and medical exhibitions.
New platforms and travel for winners
Starting from 2025, all state electronic systems will be integrated within the framework of the National Tourism Unified Platform.
A thematic office named "Tourism on the Silk Road" will be opened in the city of Samarkand.
Winners of sports competitions among youth will be encouraged with travel packages "Traveling across Uzbekistan".
From the editorial office of Zamin.uz:
This decree will play an important role in leading Uzbekistan towards comprehensive reforms in tourism. By strengthening hotel infrastructure, promoting medical tourism, and encouraging youth travel, the country can become an even more attractive center for tourists.
