In Uzbekistan, citizens will have the opportunity to rest for five consecutive days during the Eid al-Adha holiday in 2026, according to Zamin.uz.

This arrangement follows the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on establishing additional non-working days and transferring weekends in connection with the celebration of official dates. The document aims to create all necessary conditions for the population to meaningfully observe the festive days.

According to the established procedure, regardless of the workweek schedule, May 28 (Wednesday) and May 29 (Thursday) have been declared additional days off for all employees. This allows all citizens, whether working a five-day or six-day week, to celebrate the holiday widely with their families and to travel.

The decree signed by the head of our state aims to enhance national and spiritual values among the people and to create favorable conditions for their observance. Additionally, for employees working a six-day week, May 30 (Friday) has also been designated as an additional day off.

For those working a five-day week, this day is considered a regular day off. Since Sunday is a common day off for everyone, the holiday break will last a total of five days.

Specifically, May 27 (Tuesday) will be observed as Eid al-Adha. The following two days, May 28 (Wednesday) and May 29 (Thursday), are designated as additional days off.

May 30 (Friday) is an additional day off for those on a six-day workweek, while May 31 (Saturday) concludes the period as the regular weekly day off. Such an extended period of rest will enable our compatriots to celebrate the holiday in a high-quality and enjoyable manner.
