In Uzbekistan, traffic police are being strengthened to a new level to ensure road safety and increase driver responsibility, Zamin.uz reported.

According to recent data, 107 drivers who repeatedly violated traffic rules and exceeded the 12-point penalty threshold have been identified nationwide. Documents have been submitted to judicial authorities to consider revoking their driving licenses.

This measure aims to strengthen order on roads and prevent tragedies related to human life. The penalty point system is not just a means of punishment but an indicator reflecting a driver’s culture as a road user.

If a driver ignores rules and repeatedly commits violations, the system automatically classifies them as a high-risk driver. During court proceedings, if guilt is confirmed and the license is revoked, the process of reinstatement becomes more complicated.

Such drivers cannot simply retrieve their license after a certain period; they must retake the full course at a driving school from start to finish.

Afterward, they must participate in theoretical exams to test their knowledge. Under the new procedure, the exam process has also become significantly stricter.

A driver must correctly answer at least 46 out of 50 questions presented. This requirement demands complete mastery of the rules and a deep sense of responsibility on the road.

Such strict measures aim to reduce the number of individuals who drive recklessly and endanger others’ lives. Specialists express confidence that implementing this system will foster mutual respect among drivers.

Every violation may ultimately lead to license revocation and significant material and moral losses. Therefore, observing traffic rules is not just about avoiding fines—it is the only way to ensure safety for oneself and loved ones.

Staying attentive on the road is a fundamental duty of every driver.
