According to Uzhydromet specialists, the summer season of 2026 in our country is expected to begin with unstable and moderately warm weather conditions. This was reported by Zamin.uz.uz>Based on the preliminary forecasts provided by meteorologists, there is a possibility of short-term rainfall and cooler conditions in some regions during the first days of June. At the same time, it is warned that wind speed may increase to 15–20 meters per second across the republic during the first three days of June.

The air temperature is expected to be around 15–20 degrees at night and 30–35 degrees during the day. Temperature indicators are expected to gradually rise throughout the month.

By the end of the month, nighttime temperatures may reach 18–23 degrees, while daytime heat could rise to 34–39 degrees. Moreover, in some days, air temperature in the northern and southern regions of the republic, as well as in desert areas, may warm up to 40–42 degrees.

The question of interest to many is whether this summer will be extremely hot. Specialists emphasize that reaching a definite conclusion at this stage remains difficult.

However, according to data from international climate centers, early signs of the El-Nino phenomenon—linked to a sharp rise in water temperature in the Pacific Ocean—have been observed. This natural process could significantly influence global air temperature increases.

Although the climate system is currently assessed as being in a neutral state, the rapid warming of ocean waters is strengthening forecasts for a hot summer in 2026. According to Uzhydromet’s preliminary conclusions, the average temperature this summer may be slightly above the climatic norm.

It is also considered highly likely that extreme heat days will be observed throughout the season. Specifically, it is mentioned that air temperature could reach 42–44 degrees during the peak of summer, and in southern and desert regions, it may rise to 45–47 degrees.

For reference, the highest temperature recorded in June in Tashkent city was 43 degrees. The absolute record for Uzbekistan was observed in 1914 in the city of Termez, where the heat reached 49.6 degrees.

Analyses of the last five years show that in our republic, June temperatures have been, on average, half to two degrees above the norm.
