The committee called on businessmen not to raise prices unjustifiably on the eve of the holiday.

The Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumers' Rights has issued an important appeal to the heads of major trade chains, markets, and shopping complexes in our country on the eve of the sacred Eid al-Adha holiday. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In the appeal, a strict warning was issued against unjustifiably raising food product prices amid a sharp increase in demand for consumer goods among the population ahead of the holiday. As emphasized by the Committee's specialists, maintaining stable prices for socially significant goods with high purchasing power in the market during these days is one of the priority directions of state policy.
Therefore, all business entities were reminded of the necessity to adhere to principles of fairness in the pricing process and to demonstrate social responsibility. Such measures will help our people welcome the holiday in an uplifted spirit and set the festive table without unnecessary expenses.
At the same time, it was specifically noted that suppliers must promptly inform the Committee of any possible price changes, increases in logistics costs, or other objective factors. Ensuring transparency in this regard will help correctly assess market conditions.
Clear instructions were given to the management of retail chains and shopping complexes not to allow any attempts by suppliers to artificially raise prices. The Committee stated that it will exercise serious control over unjustified price increases during the holiday and ensure that appropriate measures are taken against violations.
In the interest of protecting consumers' rights, it is expected that price stability will be maintained at all trade points.
