In the period from January to April 2025, 6,800 Japanese citizens visited Uzbekistan, according to Kursiv.uz, citing the National Statistics Committee. This figure is 53.4% higher compared to the same period last year.

The Japanese mainly visited for tourism purposes — 5,900 people.

589 Japanese citizens came to see their relatives in Uzbekistan, while 221 visits were related to business trips.

Additionally, an increase in the flow of tourists from France was also noted — nearly 6,800 French citizens visited Uzbekistan during January to April.
