A tragedy occurred at the MRI machine in New York
A tragedy that occurred at a medical facility in New York State, USA, shocked many. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

A 61-year-old man was pulled into a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine at a private clinic located in the city of Westbury, suffering severe injuries and losing his life. This was reported by ABC News.

It was revealed that the victim was not a patient of the clinic but a citizen who had been accompanying an acquaintance. He entered the examination room without permission, carrying an iron chain around his neck.

The operating MRI machine reacted to him under the influence of the magnetic field, causing him to fall to the ground and sustain serious injuries. The Nassau County police emphasized that entering the MRI room with metal objects is strictly prohibited.

A small metal part can pose a serious risk in a high magnetic field. According to WABC News, clinic staff rushed to help immediately, but despite the doctors' efforts, it was impossible to bring the man back to life.

It was determined that he had died before being transported to the hospital. This incident once again highlighted the importance of safety protocols in medical facilities in the USA.

An internal service investigation is currently being conducted at the clinic. The weakness of control at the entrance to the MRI room and the negligence of the staff are also being thoroughly examined.

Medical professionals are urging people to completely refrain from using iron objects, especially when MRI services are being provided. Additionally, in the wake of this tragedy, there is a possibility of new regulations being implemented to ensure MRI safety in clinics and hospitals across the USA.
