Amid the war between Russia and Ukraine, serious doubts are emerging in the international political arena. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
An article published in Britain's "The Sunday Times" has sparked numerous debates. The publication's commentator Mark Galeotti emphasized that the likelihood of China providing military assistance to Russia is high.
He based this information on NATO intelligence data. According to Galeotti, although Beijing officially states it will not provide assistance, it continues to deliver "targeted" products to Russia in practice.
Among these products are optical fiber cables intended for drone control, nitrocellulose necessary for preparing artillery fuel, and other important technical equipment. The movement of these products raises suspicions due to their potential use in military and civilian sectors.
Additionally, Galeotti reported that China is testing modern laser defense systems named "Silent Hunter" in collaboration with Russia. These systems are designed to counter low-altitude air attacks and are likely being used in frontline areas.
Most concerning are reports of an increasing number of Chinese military personnel within the Russian army. They have not officially joined the ranks but are operating alongside Russian soldiers on the front as contractors.
In Galeotti's view, Beijing may choose North Korea as a conduit to supply weapons and military equipment under the guise of a "third party." This is seen as an effort by China to maintain its image in the international arena.
Although these reports have not yet been officially confirmed by independent sources, they are causing significant concern among political analysts. If these reports prove to be true, there is a possibility that the international situation could escalate further.
Experts emphasize that such actions by China could lead to sanctions from the US and Europe. Russia, on the other hand, views such assistance as a serious advantage.
In the coming days, additional information on this issue is expected to emerge, and new tensions in the international political situation are anticipated.
