The Ukrainian Air Force reported on Tuesday evening about an aviation incident involving a Mirage 2000 fighter aircraft in the western part of the country. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During the flight, a technical malfunction occurred on the aircraft. According to the official statement, the pilot activated the ejection seat and saved his life.
His condition is stable, and there were no casualties on the ground. Although the exact location of the incident was not specified, local media reports indicate that the accident occurred in the Volyn region.
According to Colonel Yuriy Ignat, a representative of the Ukrainian Air Force, the pilot lost the ability to control the aircraft but used all available options to divert the plane to a remote area away from populated places. A special commission is currently working to determine the causes of the incident.
