Germany sells 40 Eurofighter aircraft to Turkey

The German government has officially approved the sale of 40 Eurofighter fighter jets to Turkey. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Turkey expressed its intention to receive these jets in the spring of 2023, but at that time, the government led by Chancellor Olaf Scholz did not approve such an agreement. Recently, the German government revisited this issue in a closed meeting of the Federal Security Council and granted permission for the sale.

The Eurofighter jets are produced by a consortium involving companies from the United Kingdom, Germany, and Italy. These jets are expected to significantly enhance Turkey's defense capabilities.
