Elon Musk: "If I turn off Starlink, the Ukrainian front will face a crisis"
American billionaire Elon Musk called the Starlink system a key support for the Ukrainian army and emphasized that if access to this system is cut off, the entire front line of the Ukrainian armed forces will face a crisis.

Musk expressed his thoughts through social media. According to him, Starlink serves as a communication tool for the Ukrainian army on the front line, and turning it off would greatly impact their military operations. Musk wrote: “My Starlink system is the backbone of the Ukrainian army. If I turn it off, their entire front line will face a crisis.”

Musk also referenced the ongoing bloodshed in Ukraine in his remarks. He noted that the ongoing war for Ukraine would ultimately end in defeat, which he described as very tragic: "I detest this war that has been going on for several years and will ultimately end in defeat for Ukraine. Anyone who truly cares, thinks, and understands would want this slaughter to stop.”

It is known that Ukrainian military units primarily rely on the Starlink system for communication in combat zones. This system has played a crucial role in the military operations of the Ukrainian army.

Additionally, on February 22, Reuters reported, citing sources, that the U.S. was considering the possibility of restricting access to Starlink for Ukraine. Elon Musk called this report false and reiterated his position.

Furthermore, the head of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense, Rustem Umerov, stated that there are alternatives to Starlink available in the country.

This situation could seriously impact Ukraine's military operations and its strategic choices. Musk's views may also lead to significant attention being paid to communication and global geopolitics.
