Elon Musk made proposals to stop the war in Ukraine
Famous billionaire, entrepreneur, and head of SpaceX and Tesla Elon Musk has come up with a number of proposals to stop the war in Ukraine. He wrote about this on the social network X (formerly Twitter). According to Musk, strategic and economic measures need to be taken to end the war.

Proposal to shut down the Starlink system

One of Musk's most controversial proposals is to shut down the Starlink satellite internet system, which is a vital communication tool for the Ukrainian army. He emphasizes that if Starlink's operations are halted, the Ukrainian armed forces will face serious difficulties on the front line, which would contribute to ending the war.

Currently, Ukrainian military personnel are using Starlink for communication. This system is an important strategic resource for the military and holds significant importance during combat operations. Musk's proposal may face sharp criticism from Ukraine and Western countries.

Sanctions against Ukrainian oligarchs

Elon Musk suggested another way to stop the war in Ukraine by imposing international sanctions on the country's largest businessmen. He believes that if this measure is implemented, the war could stop immediately.

"Impose sanctions on the ten largest oligarchs in Ukraine, especially those with palaces in Monaco, and the war will stop immediately. Here is the key to the puzzle," Musk wrote.

At the same time, the billionaire did not specify which oligarchs should be threatened. It is known that in 2021, the US imposed sanctions on Ukrainian businessman Igor Kolomoyskiy and his family. Kolomoyskiy was accused of corruption while serving as governor of Dnipropetrovsk region in 2014-2015.

Washington's sanction plans

According to sources from the Washington Mail, in February 2025, the US was considering imposing sanctions against Odessa mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov. American officials accuse Trukhanov of being connected to a criminal group in Odessa and holding a significant stake in offshore companies.

Elon Musk's proposals could spark various debates on the international stage. He believes that the war can be stopped through economic pressure, but the outcome of these measures remains uncertain. How these proposals will be received by Washington, Kyiv, and Moscow will become clear over time.
