In the city of Yueyan, Hunan province, China, for the first time in the country's history, an educational institution specializing in the barbecue industry will be opened. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The new Barbecue Institute will be established in collaboration with Yueyan Open University and the city Barbecue Association, with the support of the city administration. According to local publications, this educational institution aims to develop the barbecue sector through qualified specialists, create new jobs, and strengthen the regional economy.
Yueyan Open University Party Secretary Yue Yanxua emphasized that within the framework of the institute's activities, barbecue shops in the country will become not just dining places but a complete and integrated economic chain. Currently, there are over 2,000 barbecue shops operating in Yueyan, providing permanent employment for approximately 50,000 people.
The annual financial turnover in the sector amounts to 2 billion yuan, which is approximately 280 million dollars. According to Szyan Szunfu, vice president of Yueyan Open University, the new institute will play a crucial role in creating job opportunities for local youth.
There are difficulties in finding jobs among school and university graduates, while the barbecue sector is considered a field that can be started with low investment and offers high returns. This initiative is being accepted as a new approach to vocational education in China.
Barbecue is now becoming not just food but an important part of the modern economy
