Turkey sells 48 KAAN fighters to Indonesia
A historic defense agreement was signed between Turkey and Indonesia at the IDEF-2025 exhibition taking place in Ankara. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to this agreement, Turkey has committed to deliver 48 fifth-generation KAAN fighter jets to Indonesia and to transfer technologies. Although official sources did not specify the value of the deal, media outlets estimate the contract value at 10 billion dollars.

This represents the largest export agreement in the history of Turkey's defense industry. The agreement not only includes the sale of ready-made aircraft but also envisions the exchange of technological expertise, the establishment of local production in Indonesia, and the implementation of joint projects by engineers from both countries.

This will be a significant step towards Indonesia achieving independence in the defense sector. The signing ceremony was attended by Haluk Görgün, head of the Turkish Defense Industry Agency, and Shafri Shamsuddin, the Indonesian Minister of Defense.

This contract will elevate cooperation between the two countries to a new level and further strengthen Turkey's export capabilities and competitiveness in the international market. Experts and analysts are paying great attention to the results of this agreement and its geopolitical impact in the region.

This record contract regarding KAAN fighters opens a new chapter for Turkey's defense industry and provides a significant boost to the sector's development
