The Shaolin abbot is suspected of financial crime
The Shaolin temple is considered a sacred place famous for Buddhism, peace, and martial arts. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Recently, however, this site has been under scrutiny and suspicion. According to China Daily, the abbot of the temple, Shi Yunsin, is facing serious allegations.

An investigation is underway against him. According to reports, Shi Yunsin is suspected of using temple funds and properties for personal gain.

It is also said that he has established relationships with several women that violate the vows of the monks. Monks vow to renounce theft, adultery, and worldly material interests.

Shi Yunsin has been serving as the abbot since 1999 and has become a well-known figure worldwide. He founded the "Shaolin Industrial Company," through which he patented over 200 trademarks related to Buddhism, martial arts, and the temple.

This situation has sparked debates about the temple's increasing focus on commercial activities. Additionally, the temple's ownership of funds, martial arts schools, publishing houses, and film studios has raised many questions.

Because it is emphasized that the temple should be based on spiritual education and moral values. Interestingly, these allegations are not being raised for the first time.

According to the South China Morning Post, in 2015, Shi Yunsin was also criticized for similar allegations. His former disciple accused him of embezzling funds and having a child out of wedlock, but in 2016, this case was dismissed by the court.

Today, new suspicions and information are leading to discussions at the presidential level. The temple has been creating wide opportunities for tourists, filmmakers, and entrepreneurs recently, but questions are arising about the existence of spiritual education and morality.

So far, official authorities have not made a clear decision regarding Shi Yunsin, but the investigation is ongoing. Temple staff and local residents are concerned about this situation, as Shaolin is considered a sacred place for them, and such suspicions are shaking their hearts.

This incident is causing widespread discussions among the public. Many are evaluating this situation as a conflict between spiritual leadership and material interests.

How this issue will be resolved in the future will become clear over time. However, it is certain that Shaolin can no longer be seen solely as a symbol of peace and divinity.
